It was Friday and I wrote few lines, someone said, it resonates with her.
I asked, ‘Is it?’ ‘Yes yes,’ she said, ‘in essence all humans think alike.
And its poetic’.
This is how, this thread was born. Do let me know if you also feel so.
Friday
With your arrival I feel like a shy teenager,
You bring a lot of promise and so much life.
I walk with wider smile,
Howe they know what you hide,
Everything is earned, this promise and this life!

Saturday
I had to go to parlour and look my best,
Read, play, dance and do my best.
I planned everything and woke up early morning,
ran the errands and cared for others.
My lipstick is still wet,
And you say, it’s almost sunset,
Who named you SATURDAY?
Your name should be ‘FORTY.’

Sunday
I am the queen,
No deadlines
No plans
No ‘send it before lunchtime.’
No emails to see, even.
Just slumber, lazy and deep
Warm and sun-kissed
Between several rounds of simmering chai,
I wink at the lurking blues of Monday.
Please stay away, Its my day.
Its Sunday!
Monday
I have hidden a dark cloth piece,
Fitted in a closet of my office,
Kept only to hide the quotes.
Trying to teach me work - life balance.
Today I took that out,
Ironed it neat and with folds as wide as possible,
Since it had to hide very big words.

Tuesday
Beautiful Sun and bright morning,
I roll the dice, temple or office?
At the temple, I bought flowers,
Beautiful and smiling, ‘They are for you’ I told boss.’
‘How’s you?’ they asked when I smiled at the flowers,
‘They’re happy’ I said, ‘boss and spouse.’

Wednesday
I stepped in office, boss called 'IMMEDIATELY,'
I missed you today, my 'morning tea.'
First thing here, we sit together,
We greet each other, we have a story!
Boss offered tea, it felt sugary,
But it meant sarcasm.
I came back, sipped another one.
No pat, no hug, just an ‘it’s okay.’
I missed you and the tiara you place on my head,
every morning.

Thursday
I keep two diaries, red and blue.
As I opened my drawer today,
the blue one winked at me, ‘OMG, its Thursday.’
Plans for fun, sleep and mingling,
I quickly jotted down.
Meanwhile, the red one winked back.
‘Not until I am done. You got to earn it, baby!’
This is fantastic stuff. Superb. Simple yet rich. Amazing.
